Daryl K Spring '12 Show
I always try to attend a few fashion shows when I'm in NY and last Fall I went to Daryl K's 20th Anniversary Show. She is an amazing designer and I have a lot of her current and older stuff. I always get compliments when I wear her clothes. Confession: I finally splurged on her black leather leggings and I haven't looked back.

Anniversary Post
Today is my 4 year Anniversary!
Four years ago today Dylan and I tied the knot. We commemorated the day by riding our bikes to City Hall to visit the place where it all happened and sure enough, there was a wedding taking place on the very spot! Afterwards, we went to a new cafe in the TL called Farm Table. It's tiny, intimate & delicious!

Farm Table offers some excellent homemade fare, plus great coffee drinks. It's located at 754 Post St between Leavenworth and Hyde.

I love a girl who's not afraid to go bold with lip color - model/blogger Hanneli Mustaparta dares.
I became a fan when I met her backstage at a fashion show reapplying Schiapp by NARS. All photos are from her blog Hanneli (except the lipstick).
She is wearing Morange by MAC. It's a staple in my makeup kit.

Well Armed
I love an arm full of color and texture.
My wool woven bracelets are looking pretty worn these days. I put them on at the beginning of summer and I want to keep wearing them til September.
Interesting combinations that work (next 3 images are from Jak + Jill).
If you've got all that going on on your wrist try a neutral color on your nails like Butter of London's Flash Pack. I would describe it as putty meets mushroom sprinkled with gold dust.

My Faux Birkin
I just got my long awaited tote from ThursdayFriday. It took awhile (I ordered it in Feb) but it was worth the wait. It's much sturdier than I thought it would be with thick canvas on the outside and a cotton lining with a small pocket on the inside. The Birkin images are on all sides of the bag - including the bottom!! On my first day out with it the stylist and photographer I was working with went NUTS over it.
Unfortunately, so did Hermes. They are suing ThursFri for using the Birkin images without permission. You can read about it on the Huffington Post. I hate it when the big guy goes after the little guy. If anything the knockoff is generating a lot of press that benefits both companies. I mean this tote has been getting a lot of attention from the fashion press and selling like hotcakes. I first saw it in the Sunday New York Times Style Section and then later on some fashion blogs I follow. I think Hermes is a little green with envy, don't you?

Military Man Jewelry
Mini bayonets, 9mm pistols, bullets, anchors, marksmanship medals and a right hand make up the General Tokyo line. He calls it "man jewelry" but it appeals to a lot of women. Made of solid brass these pieces have weight to them. They come on a 30" brass ball chain with a removable dog tag. Priced around $95 you can get them at Eden&Eden. Come to the launch party Friday, May 6th 6 - 8pm.

Mast Brothers Chocolate
These guys are 2 artisans making chocolate. As a chocaholic I need 70% cocoa or bust! These bars are the BOMB and everywhere I went in Brooklyn I was running into Mast Brothers Chocolate - even in clothing boutiques - the last place you'd expect to pick up a bar of chocolate. These are no ordinary bars with flavors like "Brooklyn Blend", "Stumptown Coffee" & "Serrano Pepper" they are treasures to be savored with a good cup of coffee or after a meal. The wrapper is sheer delight inside and out. The inner wrapper is gold foil reminiscent of Willie Wonka's contest winners. These guys take it to another level and I appreciate the craftsmanship.
Oh, did I mention that they go for $9 a bar?
Trust me, they're worth it!!! In SF you can get them at Bi-Rite Market.

In a pickle for a gift?
Coming up with an original hostess gift is not easy. But I think I've found one that anyone would be happy to receive. My friend Brad started pickling 3 years ago and has made a small successful business of it. An avid cyclist he delivers BOOZELY'S PICKLES AND PRESERVES all over San Francisco on his bicycle.

Garden of Cool at Eden & Eden
Yesterday I went to LAN JAENICKE'S trunk show at EDEN & EDEN on Jackson Street. My friend Rachel Eden owns it with her brother Chas and son Harry. The store is stocked with unique & quirky jewelry, home decor, vintage, as well as current designer clothes, small furniture and of course, LAN JAENICKE cashmere coats. I especially liked the collection of little mice.

in love with LOVE
On my way to pick up a copy of the 90th Anniversary Issue of French Vogue, I also picked up a copy of LOVE. I haven't even cracked the cover of Vogue because I am so enthralled with LOVE. It is a biannual publication out of Britain. This is the 4th issue and comes with 8 different covers. Inspirational!
