Electric Feathers Collection

I did the makeup for  Electric Feathers Spring/Summer '11 collection.  Her designs are so beautiful and versatile to wear.
I will be heading to NY for Fashion Week in a few days.  I will be reporting from behind the scenes so stay tuned! xo...

To achieve that strong black eye, I used Benefit's BadGal extra large kohl pencil.

Sssss....

As I'm typing this I am wearing my Ioselliani snake ring from Barney's.  I love the look and feel of it and lately I've noticed a lot of snake jewelry on my friends as well.

Dog Day Afternoon

A collaborative project with photographer Jen Siska, stylist Jen Duardo, and model Tate (JE), these were shot in the dark lobby of my apartment building.  The wall paper is original from 1917 and Jen thought it would be a cool place to take some pictures - she was right.

My curious kitty is clearly admiring the necklace by Tatty Devine now on sale at Eden and Eden.

For Tate's makeup I kept it fresh by using only a few colors.
Eyes:  MAC eye shadow in Saffron on the eyelids.  A fat Revlon pencil in Bronze Smoke around the eyes and Shiseido black pencil on the top and bottom inner lids.
Cheeks:  Revlon's cream blush in Rosy Glow (I use this all the time).
Lips:  I used MAC's Bight Fuchsia powder lightly applied with a brush.  It produces a totally matte soft look that I love (sometimes this requires the tiniest bit of clear lip balm).   Try it!

Well Armed

I love an arm full of color and texture.

My wool woven bracelets are looking pretty worn these days. I put them on at the beginning of summer and I want to keep wearing them til September.

Interesting combinations that work (next 3 images are from Jak + Jill).

If you've got all that going on on your wrist try a neutral color on your nails like Butter of London's Flash Pack.  I would describe it as putty meets mushroom sprinkled with gold dust.
